LIFT, 3MDG and HARP (also referred to as funds) are working together, with their fund boards and building on respective comparative advantages, to promote a more unified approach to nutrition in Myanmar.

The three funds will develop a joint approach to nutrition that straddles humanitarian and development objectives, focuses on prevention and response and ensures a more resilient approach to nutrition for greater impact by:

  • focusing on the 1,000 days
  • addressing both stunting and wasting
  • supporting community-based and facility-based activities
  • to prevent and manage severe and chronic malnutrition.

In February 2018, LIFT, 3MDG and HARP will engage technical assistance to develop a shared framework for nutrition in Myanmar.  Co-ordinated with the support of this external assistance, the funds will engage our partners in the development of this framework and the subsequent resourcing.

This is separate but complementary to the nutrition focus in current work, partnerships and/or Calls for Proposals, which may be managed separately by the individual funds.
