On 6 July 2025, it was 100 days since the 7.7 earthquake, followed by a 6.4 tremor, devastated parts of Myanmar, disrupting lives, homes, and livelihoods across Mandalay, Sagaing, Bago, Naypyidaw, Madway, and Southern Shan. The disaster affected more than 17 million people, with 9 million severely impacted, and caused an estimated US$11 billion in damage to infrastructure.

In response, communities have taken over 100,000 steps on the long road to recovery, rebuilding homes, restoring fields, reopening markets, and reuniting families.

To mark this milestone, LIFT and its partners captured the honour, resilience, dignity, and determination in the face of crisis of the people of Myanmar. The video below features selected moments showing recovery in motion through the eyes of those working directly with affected communities.
