UK aid leads the UK’s work to end extreme poverty. It tackles the global challenges of our time including poverty and disease, mass migration, insecurity and conflict. In Myanmar, UK aid aims to help the country continue on a path to being a better governed, fairer and more peaceful society.

Last year, UK aid invested around USD200 million in Myanmar, supporting health, education, livelihoods and humanitarian aid, as well as economic development and governance. UK aid in Myanmar places emphasis on inclusion, social cohesion and equality, targeting those who are persistently left out of economic and social development and affected by chronic conflict.
